 exhibition, Koos Breukel presents a series of photography workshops where participants can work alongside the artist. Set in a specially designed photo studio within the exhibition, participants can choose to shoot in the studio or, weather permitting, in the garden. Each workshop is inspired by the style of a photographer who has played a significant role in Breukel’s artistic journey.

During the workshops, he is joined by guest photographer and specialist in noble print techniques, Daphne Wageman, providing participants with expert guidance and insight.

Foam is proud to present a major retrospective exhibition of the celebrated American artist Saul Leiter (1923–2013).  Leiter is seen as one of the most important photographers of the 1950’s in the United States and a pioneer of colour photography. This exhibition brings together over 200 works, consisting of photography, both black-and-white and colour, as well as his abstract paintings. His eclectic oeuvre reveals a practice using shadow, light, and reflections to craft layered compositions.

) marks Sakir Khader’s debut solo exhibition in a museum setting. As a Palestinian Dutch photographer and the first member of Magnum Photos of Palestinian descent, Khader brings to light the stories of those whose lives abruptly ended during the occupation of Palestine, along with the narratives of those they left behind. The work delves into the fragile boundary between life and death, reflecting on the universal theme of farewell amidst the horrors of war and displacement.

Augusta Curiel: Surinamese Photographer 1873-1937

. Augusta Curiel (1873-1937) was one of Suriname’s first women photographers, running a highly successful photography studio in Paramaribo together with her sister Anna (1875-1958). The exhibition offers a contemporary perspective on the people and landscapes of Suriname as captured through the lens of the ‘Curiel Sisters’ in the early twentieth century. Featuring both well-known and rarely seen images, this exhibition highlights their versatile practice and unique role in Surinamese society during the Dutch colonial era.

As a pioneer of photojournalism as well as commercial photography, Rentmeester has shaped our collective visual memory with iconic images such as his famous Jumpman photo of Michael Jordan, recognized by Time Magazine as one of the 100 most influential images of all time.

 alumna Hajar Benjida. The exhibition focusses on Magic City, an influential strip club in Atlanta that serves as a cultural epicenter where hip-hop culture and entertainment converge. Over three years, Benjida documented how Magic City's dancers act as unofficial gatekeepers of the hip-hop scene, determining which music breaks through.
