 honours the centenary of the Dutch photographer Paul Huf. With his unprecedented network and innovative use of colour, Huf was known as one of the Netherlands' most important advertisement, fashion and portrait photographers from the 1950s onwards.

Paul Huf - Golden Years

 is a playful exhibition by Rotterdam based conceptual artist Benjamin Li. The exhibition setup takes inspiration from the 'Chinese-Indisch' restaurant, a culinary genre partially shaped by the colonial history of the Netherlands. Through his work, Li explores themes like identity, belonging, labour and cultural heritage, using food as a lens through which to delve into these complex subjects.

Augusta Curiel: Surinamese Photographer 1873-1937

. Augusta Curiel (1873-1937) was one of Suriname’s first women photographers, running a highly successful photography studio in Paramaribo together with her sister Anna (1875-1958). The exhibition offers a contemporary perspective on the people and landscapes of Suriname as captured through the lens of the ‘Curiel Sisters’ in the early twentieth century. Featuring both well-known and rarely seen images, this exhibition highlights their versatile practice and unique role in Surinamese society during the Dutch colonial era.

Foam is proud to present a major retrospective exhibition of the celebrated American artist Saul Leiter (1923–2013).  Leiter is seen as one of the most important photographers of the 1950’s in the United States and a pioneer of colour photography. This exhibition brings together over 200 works, consisting of photography, both black-and-white and colour, as well as his abstract paintings. His eclectic oeuvre reveals a practice using shadow, light, and reflections to craft layered compositions.

Sakir Khader is a Palestinian-Dutch visual artist. The exhibition 

Yawm al-firak / يَوْم الْفِرَاق 

(Farewell Day) honours the fallen under Israeli occupation since the Nakba (1948), highlighting the universal theme of bidding farewell. Khader’s unique and intimate access to Palestinian society allows him to capture the raw reality of conflict and loss in all of its facets.
