Sylvia Alonso (1978, the Netherlands) is the daughter of a Spanish father and a Dutch mother. She graduated succesfully in 2004 at the Royal Academy of Art (KABK) in The Hague. In her work as a photographer she is attracted to a combination of fashion, lifestyle  and art. She combines fiction with reality, sometimes with a raw edge. Her images tell us something about a world where culture, lifestyle, fashion, identity, fantasy, love and pain come together. Her work was exhibited in Foam, Cokkie Snoei, Kunsthal, Art Rotterdam, Amsterdam Photo, Amsterdams Centrum voor Fotografie and more. She has worked for different magazines and with different advertising agencies for fashion brands, in which she wants to explore herself more.
