Gabor Ösz
In the work of Gábor Ösz there is a complex relation between the
form of an image and how an image arises. Gábor uses different
techniques such as installation, film and photography. Foam
Editions exclusively offers six Production Stills from two
new film works, Ontology and Tautology. In both
film projects the artist uses analogue and digital film loops. He
filmed empty film projections in a space, looped the shots and
filmed them again. In this way he creates a kind of Droste effect,
an image-within-an-image-repeat. The films are on view at:

Gábor Ösz (1962)is born in Dunaujvaros, Hungary. He studied in
Budapest, New York and at the Rijksakademie van Beeldende Kunsten
in Amsterdam. His work has been exhibited in the Ludwig Museum,
Budapest (2005), the Gemeentemuseum Den Haag (2002), The Montreal
Museum of Fine Arts (2002), Galerie Willem van Zoetendaal (2005)
and Galerie Loevenbruck, Parijs (2009). In 2010 he won the BMW
Paris Photo Prize.
